What big data and converging traditional and social media mean for PR strategy

February 22, 2017 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

The McMaster-Syracuse Masters of Communication Management (MCM) program, in partnership with IABC Golden Horseshoe and CPRS Hamilton, is hosting a Lunch & Learn session featuring guest speaker Andrew Laing, President of Cormex Research. Laing, who pioneered the use of media content analysis within Canada’s public relations and communications community, will speak on the importance of using data science in the analysis of media coverage.

The session provides IABC members and guests an exclusive opportunity to attend an executive-level talk from a Canadian thought-leader that is also part of the program curriculum for MCM students. Topics covered will include how new analytics and metrics have been made possible by the convergence of social and traditional media and how “big data” is going to disrupt and transform communications strategy and measurement.

Tickets are extremely limited and include refreshments and a full buffet lunch including dessert. Early bird discount in effect until February 10.
